How do I identify which generation is my N7? been seeing a lot of gen 1 and 2 , what do I look for? Anyone!

Did you obtain your Note 7 before 15SEP2016, or thereabouts? - they are the gen 1 units.
A gen 2 unit is a replacement Note 7 obtained through the first recall ad exchange, or sometime after Mid-SEP and before the second recall in Mid-OCT.

A gen 1 Note 7 fitted with the SDI battery is at much higher risk of failing than a gen 2 unit which is a very-low risk.

unlock your phone screen. Your battery icon on the top right of your phone will be either green or white.
