Hi does anyone know how to bypass the Australian imei block? I've got an Optus sim. I've rooted it and installed the xposed framework with the imei change module but all that does is mask it. Doesn't change it on a network level. Anyone have any ideas or any luck?

Hi hitmanx - which city are you in? I'm in Sydney and have knowledge of what is going on in Australia - please PM (private message) me...

Can you give any more info on this?

I got caught up in the whole recall debacle and in the end opted to give the Pixel XL a go. I got my Note 7 on contract with Telstra, and they wanted me to send it back but every time I made an attempt to send it back I ran into road blocks with couriers so I took it into a Telstra store to hand it in, they didn't want it, I tried the Samsung store and they sent me back to Telstra. So I gave up trying and figured if they wanted the device back that badly they'd keep chasing me, but they never did.

I've had the phone kept in my desk drawer since I got my Pixel XL, switched off and never updated. It's a Gen 2 with the green battery icon, still charges to 100%. I'm bored with my Pixel and would love to go back to the Note 7 as it seems like Telstra/Samsung are no longer interested in retrieving the phone from me. I've checked an online IMEI checker and my phone has been blocked since December 2016. Would love to know if there's any way around this.

I'm in Sydney also and my n7 is working on the network for SMS and phonecalls but not for data :( I'm also wondering if an IMEI bypass is possible ??
