Okay I followed the directions and successfully removed there 60% and have been charging to 100% all week, yah and THANK YOU! I also successfully installed there Shield, but about an hour ago I received a notification letting new know I have a "software (And "System") update - update there firmware you the latest version..." I was surprises and halfway panicked and hit the "Install Later" button.
I was getting "update" notifications, no pop-ups just on my notifications screen, so about 10 mins before there "install request" I was checking there Shield making sure everything was updated and enabled, by switching things "off and back on," not sure if that did something or not. Also, I did replace my SIM card after I removed the 60, should I have not done that?
Is there a way to look at the update before inhaling it to see if it's the "Kill" update or a Shield update?

Don't put simcard in and have wifi disabled. After completion of reset, install and activate the shield again. Enable wifi only for the short process of activation of the shield.

Thanks for this, so just to be clear after I follow the instruction and remove the update, I should never put the SIM card in and keep the WiFi off at all times? And what about Airplane mode?beowulf381 wrote:7813Then follow the instructions here asap:DrPepper700 wrote:7804I'm not actually, I definitely received the "Kill" update, the notification popped up again this morning. Not all the times, only until if you're sure your shield is working. And in airplane mode mobile data if off while wifi can be activated. All data services must be oofline. .DrPepper700 wrote:7815Thanks for this, so just to be clear after I follow the instruction and remove the update, I should never put the SIM card in and keep the WiFi off at all times? I wasn't trying to "hijack" anything. I thought the topic was about downloading the kill update and not installing it. Was just posting my results. Sorry.

Followed the instructions twice, and it seems that it did not work. Had to turn on my WiFi to get the Sheild and still have the notification by my system "wheel" and "system update" notificationbeowulf381 wrote:7819Not all the times, only until if you're sure your shield is working.
