1. I would like to use Alliance Shield to block ads while browsing on the internet. What items should I disable on the shield?
Note: I use Google Chrome. Does that matter?

2. Is there a resource I can use to learn about other features or services that I can control using the shield.

Thanks.

You can download ad block plus in the play store and it has a built in browser extension that blocks ads in browsers. As for the features within the shield app, it's a fully functional package disabler that can remove bloatware from your phone. @Aztek may have a few more pointers for you in that regard.

Yes, I would agree with Kurtis. I'd go with AdBlock (googleplay) as this is specifically designed to block ads within chrome. The shield is used to block things within your operating system (Android); not necessarily specific things within specific apps (i.e. browser ads). But, if you want to block specific system tasks from occurring or running you can use the "Package Manager" portion of the app as a full-on disabler.

I used thw FB lite app & it has a lot of ads at the bottom. Other apps have similar ads that I mistakenly touch every now & then.

I was hoping to block them.
