I have the same question. I don't have the shield installed yet, but have been dismissing the popup in the past. Any updates. May be it was a time zone thing. Did you check to see if your phone was set to a different zone. If not, does anyone know here if all the updates when toff at the same time or were they staggered?

the update will download automatically; then will ask you to install it (verizon; don't know about other carriers). Once you install it, you can NOT go backwards...and since this is a kill update, you would be finished. If you haven't disabled the update files, or used shield ...the download WILL happen if it hasn't already! If it hasn't downloaded, then save yourself a lot of trouble and use shield (I haven't used it because I blocked the files some time ago with a package disabler and I know for sure that i'm good, so I don't want to tinker) to block the download.
