I have installed package disabler with 3 disabled files.
What's wrong with that to prevent updates?

Hello Efaew: I also have installed one of the previous (I think the last one) disabler, and so far it seems that the App UPDATE & Security UPDATE switches are off - which seems to have been the finishing Tests that the Video shows she performed - to prove that you're protected???efacew wrote:4506 I found out the hard way... for me it snuck through anyway (roughly an hour plus ago).
Hopefully all is well with your 7, but I would consider installing the shield to be on the safe side of things.
Best of luck!
Did you check those switches before the Update snuck in on your phone? Any & All steps would be appreciated..

I am using Ultimate Tools for Samsung Version 1.0.1 and disabled 6 packages as I have listed in my post in another thread. Seems to do the trick for me as well.
-UrgentFWupdateTSP
-SecurityLogAgent
-com.tmobile.pr.adapt
-Software Update
-Software Update
-Security Policy Update
Make sure to disable 2 Software Update Packages not just 1.
I have returned 15/16 Note 7 to Samsung to get $940 each per one. I am keeping on however because it's a awesome device.

What ended up happening for me to ensure the update was post switching out of airplane mode (which auto kills my wifi unless I manually turn it back on) to login to give the shield app permission (originally) & uninstalling PDP the download had begun. To answer your question, yes both were off, but unfortunately for me there was a conflict of admin rights with KNOX due to my having PDP already installed. All is well now though & I hope that made a bit of sense. It was super sneaky bc I even had my sim removed, smh...
