First off, thank you ALL for all the hard work and passion behind this project. Truly a peoples movement.
Query- I went through the entire checklist and performed all functions last evening. (just got my phone back from a theft, cannot believe my luck!)
shield is green, phone is working, except for some buggy things. However, Just a got a January 5th bricking text through Textra, from 113000, AT&T free message.
i have restored my photos thru AT&T locker. was this my downfall, using ant of the carrier apps?

Yeah, I think a lot of us are getting those texts. As long as your shield is active, you should be fine. @catwoman is this accurate?

So I guess technically, our provider still knows we are using the phone right? This just blocks the updates from coming in right?

im still worried about them blocking the ability to make calls, but I was wondering how it will affect my smart watch? even if they block the phones IMEI will my calls on the note 7 still be forwarded to my S2?

If you are on a payment plan, and pay your bill they atr binded to provide service by a contract. .. Tell them you will sue

Yes, i'm still making installment payments. I'm not sure they care but I believe what they are doing is electronic vandalism. I own this phone. They cannot force me to return something I'm still paying for otherwise they would say, "you are in possession of an AT&T asset that has been deemed unsafe and therefore MUST be returned!" They know they cannot force an American consumer to return something unless I refuse to pay for it. Breaking it purposely to "bully" an action is criminal.
