I hope someone can help me... I have downloaded the Shield to my Mac & transferred it to my phone. However, when I put my username & password in it doesn't allow me to log in. I have over 5 posts on this site, so I know it's not that. PLEASE HELP!!!

I went back & turned wifi on & it allowed me to login. However, when I try to update it I get a message that says XApp not installed The package appears to be corrupt.
Do I still need to be in developer mode to do all this? At some point do I get out of that & usb debugging? I did all that before I factory reset my phone & made sure it was still enabled before I installed the shield.

I waited a few minutes & tried it again. I was able to update & it now says I'm protected, YAY!!!
I still need to know about developer mode & usb debugging (needs to stay on or off?)
Also, I still need to download & install solid explorer & S Package Disabler or is that optional??

S package disabler is no longer required once you get the shield app and it says that you are protected you are good to go

Kind of what I thought, but it sort of confused me since it was under the shield instructions. I think I'm good now.
The only other thing is when I go to settings, system updates, it closes out & I get a message that says Unfortunately, Settings has stopped... Is that normal?
