I have gone through the process of restoring my 100% charge abilities as well as installed an update blocker a few weeks ago. Is this all I need or has a newer or better method been discovered? I just want to ensure that U will survive tomorrow update. Thanks

There is a new package blocker app. You can find that here. It is the most secure one out right now. I linked it. It has instructions on how to download and install. If you have any questions let me know.

In Catwoman's instructions for installing and enabling the Alliance Shield there is the following note: "ATTENTION: Those who have AT&T and Verizon and have previously installed the Note7 Update Blocker. If you want to get rid of that coding so that you can use our updated methods, please follow the steps to get rid of the ADB script [here]" As a user who has previously installed the Update Blocker, does this mean that I need to uninstall it? Is the app blocker in question going to cause me any problems or leave me susceptible to the kill update? Or can i just install the Alliance Shield in addition to the Update Blocker? Also, which version of the shield should i install 0.5.6? Final question: Should I also install the Solid Explorer and will it provided added protection. Sorry for all of the questions I just want to do everything that I can to keep my phone functioning until the Note 8 releases.

Just to reiterate: I have a Note 7 with the following fixes installed: 100% battery software restored, Update blocker installed 3 weeks ago, Alliance shield installed and activated with auto updates off. What else do i need or what else should i do? Thanks again. i know that you guys put a lot of time into this stuff and I hope everyone else appreciates the help as much as I do. Thanks a ton!

I've been searching the site trying to answer that exact same question. I'm feeling a bit lazy tonight and don't want to back up all my stuff and go through this whole process again. I want to know, if we don't download the sheild, are we doomed?

I would reverse the old method and use Alliance Shield. It's not required to ensure safety, but it's recommended by our staff.Quiksilver225 wrote:4277 In Catwoman's instructions for installing and enabling the Alliance Shield there is the following note: "ATTENTION: Those who have AT&T and Verizon and have previously installed the Note7 Update Blocker.
