Smart Switch and S Package Disabler problems...

Hey all,
Long time listener, first time caller... In all seriousness though, let me begin by saying thank you so much to everyone here who has given so much of their time and themselves to allow all of us to keep the Note 7.
Now, onto my problem.
I used the info found here in the very beginning to install S Package Disabler and restore my phone after the first battery update and to prevent all subsequent updates. As far as that goes, everything was pretty smooth, other than the fact that every time I rebooted my phone I would have to press ok on about 100 messages about framework services et al suddenly stopping.
Well, I finally got my Note 8 and I was all geared up and ready to transfer everything over to it using Smart Switch. Plugged the phones into each other with the included adapter and USB C cable - the Note 8 showed that it was preparing everything on my Note 7, showed me everything I could transfer and let me choose which things I wanted to transfer, but when I actually start the transfer it freezes on "Preparing to transfer" and then stays at 0% permanently.
I thought I must have disabled something that broke Smart Switch on the Note 7, but then I discovered that I can't use S Package Disabler... I can open it, I can see everything that's active and disabled and scroll through them, but as soon as I click on something it closes the app and says "unfortunately S Package Disabler has stopped"
Also, when I go into the about section, it calls itself Package Disabler PRO version 1.1 Pro.
I can click on Disable all Bloatware from the menu, but Show Enabled Apps and Show Disabled Apps don't work...
I am really confused over here and would appreciate any help anyone might be able to provide in getting my stuff backed up then transferred over to this nice, shiny new Note 8 that's been sitting here taunting me for the past 3 days.

Edit: When I check through settings - applications - S Package Disabler is Version 1.2 and doesn't say anything about Pro.

Also - Smart Switch is Version 3.3.02-4
I hope I didn't forget any other pertinent information, but I'm sure someone here will correct me if I did. Thanks again.

You could try to uninstall it. If it is using Knox it will restore all disabled packages. IT WILL TRY TO UPDATE SO BE OFFLINE IN AIRPLANE MODE.

Once that works I would install the shield to prevent updates then use smart switch

Thanks for the assist! That's pretty much where I thought I was going to have to go with it, but wanted to be able to use smart switch before having to install Shield so I could delete everything and start fresh before the Shield install. I'll follow up when I try and post what happens in case it helps anyone else.
