As ya all have seen on various posts, Sammy is bringing up a refurbished version of N7 (my opinion is they are the original N7's maybe with new battery and new ROM) on a discounted price.
Apparently it will sport a 7.0 Android ROM.
Does anyone know if that ROM will be suitable for the original N7 ( which still works with the shield and continues to behave very nice)
Is there any hope for Android 7 custom ROM for us the die hards with N7 - Original?
Anyone?
Will the 7.1 ROM on Note 7R work on original N7? is there any 7.0 ROM for N7?

There are no efforts by the known developers for android 7 (nougat) N7 custom ROMs yet.Sly27 wrote: Sun Jun 04, 2017 2:50 am As ya all have seen on various posts, Sammy is bringing up a refurbished version of N7 (my opinion is they are the original N7's maybe with new battery and new ROM) on a discounted price.

Original N7s are very rare, and even for the rootable exynos based devices no one developed an Android 7 based custom so far.
For the ROMs of N7R there's no experience yet if you can flash it to an original device, and how it works.
Maybe it's possible to flash it, but at the end this N7R ROM will effectively kill original devices. So there have to be testers willing to brick their device to check if it works.

I would imagine the the rom would work. The only change between those devices and our is the battery as far as current reports go. There some rumor mills our there that the N7R uses a newer processor but that would not make any sense for Samsung financially. They are trying to recoup losses, reworking the chipset at this point in time is an engineering waste. I have been running my Note 7 and watching Prime videos/netflix for hours on end with no issues. There are no chipset problems.
The problem with the AT&T devices is that they are bootlocked, so I doubt I will ever see the light of a mod for this device.
