EDIT: permanent Root - viewtopic.php?t=2652
Temp root: file/temproot.zip
At long last here is the Root method I have come up with thus far, just as of last night me and my cohort and main tester Daniel, creator of the shield app we have come to love and depend on, have made a breakthrough and are that much closer to making this dream of permanent root a dream no more. Without further ado....note 7 root.
Upon completion you can enable v3 on the Shield so you can manage packages.

We are very close to a permanent root. I have done very little on the root method. Only recently have I gotten involved so most credit goes to OnThe7thDayBOOM

Hi just need a little help here. sorry for asking such noob questions.. but I'm having a little trouble with the ADB part..
"adb push /path/to/su /data/local/tmp"
so I just use command prompt, and type in this command right?
my phone is connected to the computer with USB debugging and OEM unlock ticked in developer options..

The /path/to/su is the path on your computer to where you extracted the files. Windows will be c:\users\something\something if there is a space put the entire path in ""RC0310 wrote: Sun Aug 20, 2017 9:33 am Hi just need a little help here. sorry for asking such noob questions.. but I'm having a little trouble with the ADB part..

What does untethered root mean and whats possible? Sorry its been years since I've owned a rooted/flashed Note 3, I really miss the customization through wanam xposed, adblock, and titanium though.

It means root is available when it is plug via usb cable to your PC but only after doing the steps mentioned in the download.Spicynoodle116 wrote: Mon Aug 28, 2017 4:47 am What does untethered root mean and whats possible? Well actually untethered is the opposite.
