Agreed. My husband is a police officer in a rural area; often they have no radio communication, and must rely on cell service... So, like you, I think that our safety has nothing to do with it... <deep sigh>GiveitUP wrote: Tue Mar 21, 2017 3:18 pm Nope they reacvated the old one over the phone I plan on getting a new one latter this week then go for round 2 it just stinks that verizion is using the saftey excuse I told Verizon that there the one being unsafe by killing phone service I run a business my phone is my life line for employees and others to get in contact with me

Since I'm doing this any recommendations. I've spent a few days reading over everything from here an other forums. So I'll like to hear from anyone this is willing to give the advice for a Verizon setup, while still being able to use Samsung pay and other apps without stripping from one device to add the updates manually each time. If not no worries. Thank You In advance.

AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile don't do this.kjb1010 wrote: Fri Apr 28, 2017 11:58 pm I apologize if this has been asked before (new to the whole Note 7 Alliance movement) but is Verizon the only Major Carrier currently hot lining people for using the Note 7?

How about using the IMEI from another samsung model (S7 edge) in the same network in my note 7 , will this prevent the hotlining update?
