Agreed. My husband is a police officer in a rural area; often they have no radio communication, and must rely on cell service... So, like you, I think that our safety has nothing to do with it... <deep sigh>

These games of shutting off customer phones is getting rediculous.

Has anyone been hotlined in April? I'm trying to decide if I want to activate my phone on the network again or try some prepaid service.

Since I'm doing this any recommendations. I've spent a few days reading over everything from here an other forums. So I'll like to hear from anyone this is willing to give the advice for a Verizon setup, while still being able to use Samsung pay and other apps without stripping from one device to add the updates manually each time. If not no worries. Thank You In advance.

If you get hotlined do you need to pop in a new sim on your back-up phone? Or do you have to call in?

As of 4-22-17, I got hotlined fwiw. A short conversation got it lifted though, but I was back on the iPhone I was forced to get. I'm thinking I'll try it again soon

I apologize if this has been asked before (new to the whole Note 7 Alliance movement) but is Verizon the only Major Carrier currently hot lining people for using the Note 7?

AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile don't do this.

The line was instantaneously suspended when I tried to use the phone.

How about using the IMEI from another samsung model (S7 edge) in the same network in my note 7 , will this prevent the hotlining update?
