How to unblock note 7 from carrier networks

I STILL HAVE NETWORK ACCESS but no mobile data!! (EXCEPT ON WIFI) have rooted and have the hydra custom rom installed on my note 7.
everything was running fine until telstra (network carrier in Australia) blocked nation wide the note 7 on 15th December.

Still can make phone calls? dont know why. Does anyone know a workaround to get my mobile data working againg. At the moment only get data on wifi.

PS. I HAVE NOT CHANGED MY IMEI NUMBER YET USING THIS METHOD. I'm thinking if it is imei blocked how come I can still make and recieve phone calls!!?

I think the IMEI is the problem
open the Dialer on your phone and dial: *#06# - This will display your IMEI number.
using a browser, firefox/chrome ... go to http://www.amta.org.au/pages/amta/Check ... ur.Handset
I think you will find that your IMEI is currently blocked.
So you will need to change your IMEI.

I am hoping someone can recommend a Xposed that will perform the required task, ie change the IMEI so that the carrier get the modified IMEI and not just apps ???
Of course I am open to other programs that have been tested and actually work

after installing custom rom dialing *#06# shows no IMEI NUMBER.
And if my IMEI is blocked how come I can still make and recieve calls on it but no data.

xposed wont change or hide imei number from carrier it will only hide it from apps (as stated at the top of page)

I checked my imei on the back of my phone with the site you sugested and it does say my phone is blocked. BUT how come I can still make and recieve calls and sms but cant use the internet

i used aztek's tutorial on changing imei #'s. im from austrailia and my phone got blocked. its rooted n i changed my imei# to an s7 edge and my carrier legit thinks its an edge now and its working again.

Since you are able to make voice calls, I doubt if your phone is IMEI blocked!

Just a wild suggestion, but since you say you have lost just Mobile Data, perhaps your APN (Access Point Name) is no-longer correct for your carrier after the firmware update? For AT&T my APN is "nxtgenphone" (Google search "ATT Nextgenphone" for the complete info!). Without the APN setup correctly your phone's mobile data connection will not function!

@blade7327: the same way you can make voice calls over Wi-Fi if your phone supports it. I believe your phone is blocked from the carrier but your device is still in service through your SIM card so it's connecting your calls with wi-fi and sim service.

Hey, mine is blocked as well. Using the Hydra ROM. I was going to follow aztek's tutorial, but I tried the *#0808# and nothing works. It says mobile network not available. I have the replacement S7 edge I was going to use as well. What number did you use?

Thanks Catwoman, I did that and now when I go into QPST and add new port there is nothing showing at all. before I could select the port, but it said there was no phone.

Smart switch cannot pickup the phone in the RNDIS mode, but wondershare mobile go picks it up.
