Hotlined again today... been going strong for about the past month, so I was really hoping we were past this. Called technical support again today, and am trying to get them to reconnect me once more. No luck yet, but I'll keep trying. What a pain!
Anyone else still working on Verizon or hotlined recently? The rep said there was an update today. She gave the standard, "We can only reconnect you if you buy/add another device to the line, but the N7 absolutely cannot be reactivated under any circumstances.

I got nailed this afternoon. Over an hour going through different reps..... Went to a draw with a Note Edge loaner for 90 days. Only 5 days with the Note 7....... Guess we'll just escalate to a new game...... I can't wait to see how that goes...

I think I just got hotlined.
<Edit> it seems as though they mistakenly hotlined my Galaxy S6 Edge Plus! They "apologize for any inconvenience." They will reactivate me when I go to my local store with my S6 Edge Plus and get a new SIM card. The rep told me that he can't figure out how to do it without me getting a new SIM card. Either way, I'm going in to get a new SIM card this morning. We will see what happens.
These Gestapo tactics are getting pretty old.

I was hotlined about an hour ago. brijamgel, I was told the same thing by Verizon when I called them. What now?

do the same game... activate a backup phone... wait a week or so and switch. Lather, rinse, repeat. I hate them too. I saw your post last night Julie and switched my sim back to my old phone to try to prevent a block. Then couple hours later realized I must have already been blocked and hadn't noticed till I tried using my old phone and it wouldn't call out! Called this morning and got it sorted. Doing the sms forwarding to the note 7 again for now then switch the sim back to the 7 again in a few days.

How did you get them to give you a loaner? I have demanded that so many times and they always tell me it can't be done. I was on the phone with them over an hour yesterday too.

I have been reactivated on my S-6 edge plus . A note in my file said reactivation "should be preceded by returning my note 7" . I said, in true Borg fashion, "I refuse to comply. bill me for the balance of the Note 7, and Reactivate my service on this phone, please. The recall is voluntary, and once again I do not volunteer."
They did and at first my data did not work. It took them about 5 minutes to sort that out and now I am back up reactivated with the new SIM.
I grow weary of these reindeer games...

I'm not sure how it came to where they'd send me a loaner. Like I said I was on the phone just over an hour getting passed around like a drunk redhead, 20 minutes on hold at one point I guess they were hoping I'd hang up. The last rep was a tech rep named Stephanie, she was a sweetheart and understood under no circumstances was I giving this Note up. She kind of suggested the Note edge loaner thing. While she was try to get everything entered I heard her say under her breath; "come on, cooperate". I asked are you talking to me or your computer and of course she said her computer and good, I was hoping you weren't attempting some mind meld....... She just giggled. I have no problem with the employees they get enough crap. I just try to be resolute. Never give up, Never Surrender. The loaner will be here tomorrow. Different day, different game......

I was hotlined this am, went on chat, no mention of note 7 by either me or representative and he reactivated no problem
