So Now that I have V2 up and running can I safely deactivate/uninstall my expired pdp? even though I have the update pending in my settings? (See image attached to this post) I'm afraid that it will install itself if i remove pdp.
Thanks!
Can I uninstall pdp after v2 is installed with a pending update status?

I have the same situation. We were supposed to get rid of that prior to installing Shield v2 in case they conflicted. But it appears that they don't, so I would just leave it. it is not hurting anything just sitting there.
So as you may already know, that update is going to try and install around 4 times a day, but Shield v2 will hold strong, and you will just get 2 of the "unfortunately, software update has stopped" dialogs. That's Shield v2 at work

Personally, I kind of like seeing that message...
"Unfortunately, Software update has stopped".
It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside, kind of like a big, "Bite Me, Samsung" or "Verizon"... or "whatever government agencies are actually behind this"... or "Mrs. Taylor"... (she was my 2nd grade teacher and I still have nightmares to this day! She was definitely Old Testament... but I digress...)
Sometimes, I reboot my phone just to see it pop up...

That sounds great but confusing. Wouldn't installing it be bad? Also, I was under the impression that Shield v2 is not a disabler per se.Catwoman wrote: Mon Mar 20, 2017 2:16 pm you can get rid of that notification by factory resetting your phone and then installing and blocking the update before it downloads to your phone.
Thanks very much for the suggestion, but what would be the steps to go about doing that? Because I fear that doing it out of order would cause some irreparable harm
