Just went through the steps to remove the 60% update. Worked great. Now I need to disable the update from happening again. I know I have to connect to Wifi to register with Alliance Shield. Does anyone know how long it takes once you connect to wifi before the update is forced again?

I wan to keep my Note 7 going...got an Edge and just not doing the trick for me. Haven't had the phone killed off completely by T-Mobile yet, just at 60% limit. Do I need to download the update before T-Mobile completely turns my phone into a paperweight?

You can revert the 60% limit:

After this protect your Note with shield V2:

@alliancepirate you may also use shield v1 on your s7 edge as a full Samsung package Disabler. Just won't work on note7. Shieldv2 is for note 7 as Beowulf had mentioned.

Alliance Shield v1 and v2 are separate apps with different methods of blocking the Samsung Updates.

If you were able to obtain Alliance Shield v1 before 1/14/2017 and blocked the packages then it is still protecting you. If you uninstall it or in some cases, turn off admin permission then the app will no longer protect you. Alliance Shield v1 is a package disabler app and it used to work on Note7 until Samsung update the Knox previsions and the Note7 can no longer work with package disabler apps. However, Alliance Sheild v1 still works for all other Samsung Android devices. This is why we created Alliance Shield v2. It is a different method of preventing the Samsung updates from installing and it is created specifically for the Note7. So if you are unprotected, we have another method of protecting your Note7 from the update.

As to your specific situation: If you have Alliance Shield v1 and it is protecting you, then leave it alone. Do not install Alliance Shield v2. That information is also stated in the tutorial and guides.
