I don't know much about this website and im new here. I got this note 7 a few days ago. And it sadly has the kill update installed. Well I know it can be forced charged because I have done it and had to do it again today. I went out abd bought a 20,000 mah external battery at Wal-Mart today for it so it's doing really good I got it from 0% to 83% and threw it on the external. I did attempt to wire the wireless pad to tge battery connection and it doesn't work just yet but i am still trying to figure something out for us to get charge. Without having to pull the back and wire the battery to a charger.. as for the update the way the phone acts when plugged in it won't charge it shows the lightning bolt and stays at 0% which mine is at 83% after I forced it. But yeah it seems to think to me that it thinks its fully charged and once you unplug it if its it's at 0% it just dies died after 1 1/2 second. But if it's like 80% it takes hours for it to run out but it will not charge up. And on top it the external battery has to be a decent one or it will slowly drop in power. I bought the pocket juice elite 20,000 mah and the phone is doing amazing. But I have been brain storming on a hardware mod to get charge for us. Hopefully either I can figure it out soon or someone on good with software and breaking into Samsung's locked bullSh*t update and finding the charging limit and replace the 0 command and put 80 to 100% we will be golden. If I can get my note 7 charging wirelessly I'll let everyone know which pins to place the wires on the wireless pad and where exactly to to place them on in the battery connection so you will get charge by wireless. Only way so far with the port is to solder into the port to the battery connector which takes longer to do so first I'm going the wireless route and if my phone will charge up that way once i figure out which pins to use on wireless pad then we will be golden as well.

It also makes total sense samsung changed the value in the code for charge to 0. Because the phone thinks it's its fully charged when its plugged in so it's not giving the battery any power what so ever. When i force charge it and unplug and then plug it back up my battery charge goes from 0 to what ever after about 20 mins I can get to 45 to 60% and about a hour I get a full 100% but the very bad and dangerous thing about direct connection to the charger and battery the phone can over charge and you know "boom" so if anyone does it please be careful and please Check the charge every few mins to see how much you got sometimes it can reach 100% in 10 mins depending on how good a connection you got. But its a sure fire way of getting charge on the note 7. But as i said samsung more then likely changed the value from 60 to 0 which causes no power to be pushes to the battery because it's not charging and when i force charge It the % goes up.. So so if someone good with doing software can break in and change it and help us out would be amazing... I remember there was a way with root to go into files and change code to increase volume for headphones and speaker and also battery so its there it's just finding the right code and changing it back to 100 or what ever. And just incase we do have bad batteries I say 80 maybe 90% would be good..But until then I'll be working the hardware mod for everyone and once I get it going I'll release on exactly what to do so anyone with the kill switch can get charge back..

i am a lil techy, and i removed my battery and put my N7 on charge and it showed 80% , also i placed the battery flat on the NFC connector and it increased the charge from 80% to 100, but when i connect the battery back it goes back to 0%, i gues its a reversed charge, the kill update must have switched off an ic

@babadee3
Don't make a new post for every single sentence, as this is very confusing. You can edit your former posts and add new information or question.

For the update: if you got hit with the 0% update, there's no way back at the moment.
Downgrade has been disabled with this one, so you are not able to flash to 60% firmware or any other issued before.

You can try to use an external battery pack for now.

If your phone is unprotected and exposed to internet access if will get the last update (the kill one) directly.
So you have to do any measure to prevent this.
We recommend to use the alliance shield V2:

Before you do this, you can revert the 60% limit to get 100% back:
