I have a question, I have a Note 7 with no protection ex:Disablers but have used the Solid Explorer method to disable updates. My relative wants to use the phone however I was wondering is there a way to delete all the personal data on the Note 7, so it doesn't get mixed with his stuff. Basically if I do a Factory Reset on the phone will it update? @Catwoman please do help if you know anything. I am holding strong with a phone, and thanks again for all the support in this community. What procedure do I have to take to make sure I delete my data/files without updating?

If you factory reset it will remove protection

Hi, so I have a verizon 2nd gen N7 with the PHE update (green battery) that charges to 100%... I accidentally deleted my package disabler and was afraid of it auto installing the update. I searched online and saw that somewhere that the phone requires 15% battery to install the update. So, long story short: two days ago, I removed my sim, turned off wifi on phone and laptop, ran the battery down to 10% then did a factory reset. during the reset I connected it to my wifi and there were no issues for setup, then took off wifi right afterwards until I could block the update. I didn't do solid explorer method, I did the ADB script and it seems to have blocked the update, however I'm leaving it off wifi when above 15% until N7A Shield v2 comes out just in case.

So I'm not sure of your carrier or phone or other details but for me this seems to have worked. if you do try it, make sure to get solid explorer before it charges to 15%.

And.... there are also other people on this forum that said a Factory Reset bricked their phone. Not from the update itself, but Bricked it because of something associated with being removed from the Knox EULA...

Frankly, I'd tell your relative that they can't use the phone. If you have to keep peace in the family (trust me, I understand), go on eBay and get them a cheap phone to use. I think the risk of something going wrong that you cannot undo is way too high to risk for a relative that just wants to use your phone...

but, that's just me.
