Does just rooting the note7 help to block the battery-cutting update?

Sorry about asking, but as far as I know after rooting it will be impossible to get OTA-updates anymore. Does that mean, that Samsung won't be able send me these battery-cutting updates? ..would be hard to believe. What are the restrictions coming along with root concerning the OTA- updates Samsung is trying to hit me with? I'm a bit confused about that, thanks for your help

Can't say for sure if just rooting prevents from ota updates (especially from the malicious ones). For me it worked for sure as I installed custom rom after being rooted. so the update packages are no longer here. Didn't find a reason to stay with stock firmware while rooted. Custom rom's are much better imo and just unbloated. Knox is already tripped, and a stock rom could manage to overwrite your custom recovery and remove root if you don't take measure to prevent this.
Btw. if you like, we have a German area, and we can discuss things there, maybe to get more participation from people who don't understand English language...

And our friends from the americas and australia / nz unfortunately cannot root with locked bootloader...

I actually don't feel that comfortable with the stock rom, especially because I still get these messages displayed after restarting my n7 since having rooted, like "... google-something stopped". Have read that they will disappear after flashing a custom rom. I would have done it already, but I think there are just a few questions for me to be answered before cause I'm a bit afraid to brick my beloved n7

such as how to save data first properly.. couldn't find a really good howto stepbystep before flashing a custom rom.
Thanks for your hint to the german section, I'm looking forward to having my question answered there perhabs.
