Note 7 Firmware
-After you have downloaded the firmware, locate the file on your PC.
-Right click on the zip file and choose "Open with Winrar"

-Choose the "Extract To" button
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v71/C ... m3cjrb.png
-Make sure you are in the "General" tab
-Pay attention to the destination of where you are going to be extracting the files to. By default, it will create a folder right where your zip file is located.
-Make sure that in the "Update mode" section, the "Extract and replace files" is selected.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v71/C ... gu9sr7.png
-Here is an example of what it looks like when the files are extracted. There should be 4 or 5 files. These filed start with AP, BL, CP and CSC. *Some firmware have and extra file that starts with HOME_CSC. This file is useful because you can use this file instead of the CSC so that your data does not get erased when you flash the firmware.*

Odin:
-After you have downloaded the zip file then it is time to extract the flies like you did with your firmware above.
- After the files have been extracted, go to the folder and right click on "Odin3_v3.12.3"
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v71/C ... gygcmn.png
-Time to load the firmware onto Odin:
1. Press the BL button.
2.Locate the folder you extracted your files to.
3.Choose the file that starts with BL.
4.Choose "Open" so it loads onto Odin
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v71/C ... 01pi4d.png
-Repeat the steps for AP, CP and CSC buttons.
-*NOTE* Be patient with the AP file can take up to 10mins to load and Odin will freeze and it is not responding until it loads the AP.
-*NOTE* If your firmware has the file HOME_CSC, I recommend that you use that file vs CSC. That way your data won't erase when you are flashing. I still recommend backing up your phone because you never know what could happen during the flashing process.
Below is an example of the finish product when the firmware is loaded correctly. Please note that the file must match.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v71/C ... rarumr.png
-Now Press the "Start" button.
-Be patient, this can take 15-20mins. If the process is successful, you will see the changes below. A green progress bar will start to fill under the word SYSTEM and a white progress bar will start to fill.

-When both of the bars fill you will get a green Screen that says it passed and you phone will show a screen saying that it is Erasing.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v71/C ... tiacfz.png
-After it finishes Erasing and then starts to reboot, unplug your phone from your computer.
-It can take a long time to reboot, be patient. Can take up to 5-10mins to get to the Welcome Screen.
-Follow the prompts on the Welcome screen. Do not connect to your WIFI, Restore your phone from a backup, or log into your Samsung or Google account. Your goal is to get to the Home Screen as soon as possible.
- Once you get to your Home Screen, turn on Airplane mode to prevent the update from happening.
