It's 3:30 pm on January 5th and my Verizon Note 7 still charges. Are the forced updates rolling out to Note 7 owners at different times for Verizon?

No update to my N7 in S.Fl. yet.

No update for my N7 ... i do have the alliance sheild...

They can come at any time on the date they released the update

I am on Verizon as well and I haven't received an update yet, still charging at 100%. But I am going to download the shield app now to ensure I dont get it!

I just found this group and may not have time to make 5 legitimate posts. Have mercy on me. How do I block the update?

Does anyone know if we have the shield will we still receive a notification that the update is available, or will we receive nothing at all?

Since they don't seem to all go out at once, it is hard to tell if they haven't sent it yet, or whether they have and the shield is doing its job.

The notifications will be sent with several methods: push service, text message etc. Using the shield you are protected even if you get another message in the future.
And the updates maybe sent out at every time. So it they say it's coming January 5th, it maybe come later. And for sure you have to use the shield in the future too.
