Hello all,
I've had my "replacement/2nd gen" Note 7 from Verizon sitting in my drawer since February/March and I want to start using it again. Is Verizon still shutting off Note 7 users' lines?

Hello, I decided to bring my note 7 out of hibernation, kept it after a new replacement phone. Now I want to reinstated and use it. Is there anything I need to do to protect it from Verizon hotlining my phone
Currently no simm chop is installed

Get a new SIM card and try again. Perhaps they removed by now the monitoring of Note 7s. Not sure if it was fully automated or what, but it's worth trying. Otherwise, many Verizon members of ours switched to T-Mobile and seem to enjoy it.

Also, has anyone tried running the international firmware on verizon? I flashed to Tmobile, but now I'm getting the N8, and I want to use the N7 as my work phone on Verizon. Was thinking I would just flash the international version over Tmo firmware, then pop a verizon sim in it. The phone is originally a verizon N7.

The international firmware is made for Exynos processor based N7s.
It will not work with Snapdragon based US models.

No go, Verizon auto blocks/hotlines the Note 7 the moment you put in a valid sim card.

I had a Total Wireless card powering my verizon N7, and my verizon SIM in my N5. When I got my N8 on the fifth, I put that SIM in my N7. Wouldn't work- checked online and it was suspended. I contacted them in Chat, and they reactivated it. They thought my phone was "stolen," and I told them nope. Pretty straight forward!
