Hi, please can anyone help me with 'How to Root my Sprint Note 7' without losing data on my phone? Thank you. I've successfully restored my phone to 100% and I've got shield working perfectly...

Ok, thank for your prompt response. Would appreciate if you could help me sim unlock the phone (Sprint). Had a friend try unlocking it but he said he needed the phone rooted first before he can unlock it. Any help will be appreciated...

Usually all Notes from major US carriers are already carrier unlocked.
To use all features of the new carrier it may be necessary to flash different firmware to fit this carrier.

With your firmware your phone is NOT rootable at all. And it is NOT possible to downgrade / change to a firmware that is able to root.
Currently, there is not solution for this.

But you should be able to use other carrier if you like. Your device should already BE sim unlocked. Which one do you want to use in future?
Maybe it's necessary to flash this carriers firmware then, we have some links available here.

I still have not been locked out of my Sprint Note 7. I'm trying to block the OTA update before the update catches up with the Shield I'm trying to install. Would you be willing to share the firmware for the Sprint Note 7? One of the files is quite large, I can send you a link to a Dropbox folder so filesize should not be an issue.

actually there is a way to Temp Root the PHE firmware it's good untill you reboot and no R/W on the /sysetm folder .
My N930P V2 was locked to sprint (no signal) and had to pay someone on ebay $10 to remote unlock.
