Can I Stop Kill Updates and keep 60% battery limit?

Can I proceed with the current methods of protecting against the kill updates without removing the 60% battery limit first. I would not mind the battery limit, to reduce the chances of the thing exploding.

All methods to protect your phone against further updates will work with 60% limit condition too.
