Noob here and I hope someone can help. I tried following the link to the Temp Root instructions file on Google Drive, but I receive the following message: "Sorry, the file you have requested does not exist." I tried the link several times and get the same result.
Even if I can access the file, I do not know if it will be of use. I have a Note 7 from Sprint and was able to avoid the "Death Update" for almost a year. Yesterday, 12/29/2017, the "Death Update" somehow made it through and now my phone will not charge. The phone has 0% battery life, but will turn on when plugged into a wall socket. The phone will not power on though when I connect it to the USB port of a computer (tried several computers and the USB ports are not providing enough power), so I am unable to tether to a computer for any type of computer support. Is there a way to save my Note 7 from the "Death Update" at this time? If so, would anyone be willing guide me through the process? I can follow basic step-by-step instruction, but that is about it. I know this is a big ask, but am desperate to get my beloved Note 7 up and running again.
***Update: I am able to place the phone in download mode and then connect to computer usb port. Anyone?
***Update #2: With further testing, I am now able to connect my Note 7 to my computer. I optimized the power draw by uninstalling some apps and then placed the phone in airplane mode. I turned the screen brightness all the way down as well. I am using a wireless battery charger to supply power to the phone while transitioning from the wall plug in to connecting with my laptop. So I now have the ability to interface with my Note 7 through my laptop. I just need to know what to do next to get battery charging restored? Again, this is the Sprint variant of the Note 7.
***Update #3: I can get the phone to start in recovery mode as well. I believe I have correctly loaded ADB files on my laptop and will next try to figure out ODIN and load to laptop if needed. Any help is still appreciated. I really need to be able to get my phone charging again, even if it is only back to the 60%.
***Update #4: I have ADB! The instructions in the "How to Install ADB on Windows, macOS, and Linux" guide on xda-developers.com were not very clear for Windows PowerShell. I was able to follow the instructions from Techno Bill on the NEXUS Help Forum under the thread titled "Powershell commands for ADB sideload". The topic resolved a problem I was having when trying to identify ADB Devices in PowerShell. I was getting the following message in PowerShell when I executed C:\adb\platform-tools> adb devices
adb : The term 'adb' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. Check the
spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again.
If you experience the same problem, follow TechnoBill's instructions in the NEXUS Help Forum described above.
What do I do now? Is anyone out there?

I have a note7 running N930VVRS2APHE firmeware.
I tried to use this method but it results in bootloop. The end goal is to install the shield app and prevent the updates from running and to debloat.
I repeated the steps multiple times, trying to change things up and see if I could get it to work, tried with and without an sdcard, with and without the pit file, with and without oem lock on.
Anyone have a similar issue?
