My app seems to be working great, I didn't get the daily alert to update the software as I have been for a month o two.. Now all that's left is to wait until the fifth! Remember, remember, the Fifth of... err..January

Haven't downloaded it yet. Will get my new note 7 with 100% battery (stock rom) this weekend so maybe i can test it there. I'm currently using hydra rom so no need for a shield for this phone.

I need to post still. Question though, does this method mean the phone is "rooted"? Can I use programs now that only work on rooted devices? Thanks

I guess it works by checking that you have the updates blocked. Sorry I am not 100℅ sure because I didn't build it.

Based on message #24 by aztek (Tue Jan 03, 2017 6:19 pm), and the comment to "undo" what the ADB scripts did. Would it be reasonable to just edit and modify the ADB scripts to re-enable (undo) everything that they disabled, then put phone into "Airplane Mode" and re-run the modified ADB scripts and then install and enable the "Note 7 Alliance App" and then disable "Airplane Mode"? Will probably reboot and wipe cache also...
Does that seem like it should work?
Also, I'd really like to avoid the phone "reset" step if at all possible. I took my phone about 4 hours to backup, then another 4 hours to restore! I have a ton of SMS/MMS messages, pictures and videos...

The only problem with the 5 post is that it adds to many of the non sense post to get to 5. I get it but the useful information u guys give is just harder to find. It's worth it though
