Battery Life degraded after Shield Installation??

I'm very impressed by Shield. Thanks! One issue that I'm trying to figure out is whether battery life tends to suffer as a result of Shield. Since installation, this has been the first time that I have drastically run out of battery during the day. In normal use, my N7 won't last till 5-6pm even on the 1st Power Saving mode all day. Has anyone experienced this and, if so, is there a setting or workaround I should be doing to compensate? Keep up the good work!

Also the trepn profiler https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... repn&hl=en
will tell you where your batt goes. People thought it was the shield back when facebook was killing bats.

Is there a problem with battery using shield? I want to reset my note and I want to be sure to be protected but I don't want to have any battery problems.

No
There is no batt drain caused by the Shield.
BUT you can disable a package that causes the system to drain batt life trying to call it over and over and over.....
The shield itself will not drain batt life.
This is a S7E This is a note 7

Thanks for your help. I was checking the App Power Monitor and indeed, Shield did not appear in any significant way but I was wondering whether there has been an extra drain on Android System as it has appeared quite high. I'll try the Profile and am relieved to hear that it isn't a common issue.

you can put it to power save mode without any side effects

Agreed. I always keep mine on power saving mode and close any processes that aren't being used. Greenify is a good app to use to put apps to sleep when they are not being used. There are also several good apps that will monitor your battery and show you where the drain is coming from

No need to power save mode. But yes, greenify, regularly used the built-in optimization tools for Android and disable any bloatware with the shield and consider using FB lite vs Facebook / Messenger. It will save you TONS on battery. It's not the shield draining your battery.
